ELBD Springtime Tea Party
ELBD's Springtime Tea Party is an annual event where we celebrate, girls, young adults and women and civility. The tradition was started in June 2014 and we we had such a wonderful response from attendees that we've made it an annual event. ELBD started hosting our annual tea due to the increased violence and disrespect among girls and women. The blatant disrespect and lack of caring exhibited on social media, television and in music; in addition to the events of one local teen's suicide due to bullying by schoolmates.
It is never too late or too soon to share tea with a little one. It helps to teach them table manners and how to interact socially. It's one thing to have a pretend tea party, but to participate in a real one is a whole other world full of fun experiences. ELBD does not worry about the girls breaking teacups or saucers, because so far it has not happened. We attribute this to our Little Ladies program training. The games and gifts are always a hit. So, don't shy away from enjoying tea with the special little one or teen in your life. We hope you'll join us for our next tea party extravaganza! We're sure you won't be disappointed!
If you missed it this year, do not miss out next year. Next year's tea is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2017.
Thank You to Our Supporters!
Thank you to our 2016 participants and partners. Your ticket purchases and donations helped to pay for registration fees for several girls and teens to participate in our girls and teen leadership programs. We appreciate your donations as we work to make a difference for girls and teens within our local community. See you next year!
Sincerely, Denell Parker, Executive Director Exquisite Ladies by Design, Inc.
